4 Percy Place is steeped in Bath history. It used to be the home of Rev. William Jay, one of the most eminent English Congregationalist preachers of Regency England who used to preach in the Argyle Chapel in Bath at the end of 1700s.

A warm welcome and modern comforts like free wi-fi, make our guests feel at home and highly valued. Depending on your interests, we are happy to advise you on how you can make the most of your time in Bath and how you can ‘live like a local’ during your stay.

Both the town and the countryside are on our doorstep. We are just a few minutes walk from the city centre and are very close to the Kennet & Avon Canal at the back of Kensington Meadows. The view of the countryside and back garden from the back of the house is relaxing and inspiring.

Who we are

We are an Anglo-Italian couple, Simona & Richard Thompson. We have been living in Bath since 2004. Simona studies Ancient Greek at the University of Bristol and Richard is a lawyer. We have a young daughter, a cat and many friends.

We love Bath and we appreciate nice things - good food, music, art and culture.

We want our guests to have a great experience.

We want our guests to have a taste of our life in Bath.

We want our guests to have fond memories of their stay with us.
